Safety
Committed to Providing a Safe and Healthy Environment
for our Employees
Preventing
injuries is a priority to NANA/Colt's Management Team and requires
a commitment by all personnel. While each member of the NANA/Colt
Team is responsible for their own safety, management is responsible
for setting the example, creating a safe environment and fostering
a safety conscious mind-set among employees.
State and Federal Safety Regulations
are considered a minimum standard for compliance. Each NANA/Colt
employee and contractor is provided with safety training, determined
by job description and work location, and required to comply with
those safety standards. NANA/Colt goes beyond the minimum standard
by conducting regular safety meetings addressing current events,
special conditions for living in Alaska and employee interests.
NANA/Colt encourages participation
by employees in the Company Safety Program through involvement in
our Safety Committee. A representative from each department is included
as a voice for employees to review near misses, safety practices
and behaviors, introduce safety topics for upcoming meetings and
reviewing training requirements. Various incentive programs bring
safety to the forefront and encourage employees to lead a safe,
healthy lifestyle both at work and at home.
